In November 2025, the TNFD published its final guidance on nature in transition plans, following public consultation and pilot testing with the market. The TNFD's work explores how disclosure of information about transition plans equips investors with the information they need to finance the transition to a net-zero and nature-positive future aligned with global policy goals. It builds on familiar conceptual foundations and frameworks from net-zero transition planning and breaks down the process of aligning with the Global Biodiversity Framework into a coherent set of forward-looking strategies, actions and accountability mechanisms, built into the organisation’s main business strategy.
In this webinar Barbara Sanderson and Nicolas Poolen from the TNFD Secretariat will talk about the following topics:
What is included in the final TNFD guidance, including updates since the draft guidance
What are transition plans, and why are they important
How nature can be incorporated into transition plans by corporates and financial institutions
